Estrela da Amadora approved the Special Revitalization Plan presented by the I Liga club, frustrating the expectation of Tondela's SAD. The insolvency administrator of Estrela da Amadora approved the PER, which received a favorable opinion from 60.32% of the creditors. With the approval, Estrela da Amadora's debt is reduced by half, from 20 million euros to less than 10 million. And so, the Reboleira club now has the possibility of meeting the registration requirements for the 2026/27 professional competitions. The licensing period for sports companies is still ongoing, with the final decision on all registrations expected on the 30th. The decision was communicated to the Tribunal Judicial da Comarca de Lisboa Oeste – Juízo de Comércio de Sintra, which should homologate the plan in the coming days. But Tondela can still have hopes of occupying the spot in the I Liga, if Estrela da Amadora does not meet the registration requirements. So, the situation is still uncertain and Estrela da Amadora fans will have to wait until the 30th to know the club's fate. The club's manager, whose name was not disclosed, is expected to comment on the situation soon. Estrela da Amadora's players, including their star forward, are also waiting for the final decision.
