The Serra da Estrela mountain range will be invaded by over 60 activities during the Mountain Festival. Between June 5th and 7th, the new edition of the event will bring together hikes, experiences, outdoor cinema sessions and other activities. This Friday, from 3 pm, the Soutos do Zêzere hike, a paragliding experience and a visit to the Ecolã will take place. At 4 pm, participants are invited to participate in an ebike experience at the Poço do Inferno. In the remaining days, the program will start earlier, at 8:30 am. Throughout the day, it will be possible to participate in hikes in different points of the mountain, attend concerts and participate in nature experiences. The festival activities will also include photography walks, trail running, mountain kayaking, stand up paddle, aquatic trekking, picnics and astronomical observation. The outdoor cinema will take place on June 5th and 7th, at 9 pm, at the Campo Base. The activity will feature a selection of films dedicated to adventure, nature and the mountain, projected in an outdoor setting, under the starry sky. The Campo Base will also feature a stage, a market with local products and a Fun Zone, with inflatables and airbungee for the younger ones. The musical animation will be in charge of artists such as Lucas Ribeiro, Olhos Vendados, Irmãos Mayer and Tiago Barbosa. The Parque da Várzea will also receive a Silent Disco, at 10 pm, organized by Catarina Pyrrait. The activities that take place at the Campo Base, such as the cinema and the concerts, are free and open to the public. However, the hikes and nature experiences may have a associated value, starting at 10€. In this case, the registrations can be made online.
